Gradually open the transmission channel of electricity from the reservoir in the high water period

According to Du Jinshui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of State Grid Tibet Electric Power Co., Ltd., in the past decade, nearly 47 billion yuan has been invested in the four “power roads” of Qinghai Tibet, Sichuan Tibet, Tibet China and Alibaba networking projects. The Qinghai Tibet networking project has connected the Tibet power grid to the national power grid, raising the voltage level from 110 kV to 400 kV, ending the history of isolated operation of the Tibet power grid.

The Sichuan Tibet Interconnection Project has completely ended the long history of isolated grid operation in Changdu region of eastern Tibet, realized the interconnection of Changdu power grid and southwest power grid, and provided a large transmission channel for “Tibetan power transmission”. The Tibet China networking project has realized the interconnection between the Qinghai Tibet networking project and the Sichuan Tibet networking project, and the Tibet power grid has entered the era of 500 kV ultra-high voltage power grid. Alibaba Networking Project is the last prefecture level administrative region in the land area of the country officially connected to the National Grid. Tibet has entered a new era of unified power grid with the main power grid covering 7 cities and 74 counties (districts) in the region. “Tibet’s population of electricity users has reached 3.45 million, and it has truly achieved the goal of connecting power lines, becoming rich, and connecting people’s hearts.” Luo Sangdava, deputy chief engineer and director of the Ministry of Construction of State Grid Tibet Electric Power Co., Ltd., said.

It is reported that in 2021, the transformation capacity of 110 kV and above power grids in the region will reach 19.48 million KVA, and the length of lines will reach 20000 km, which will increase by 4.6 times and 5.5 times respectively compared with 2012. Under the direct pull of the “Power Sky Road”, the power load of Tibet’s power grid has broken new historical records year after year, with an average annual growth of 15.52%, reaching a maximum of 1.91 million kilowatts. The power consumption of the whole society has maintained a double-digit growth for many consecutive years. On the basis of meeting the domestic demand for electricity, the Tibet power grid gradually opened the transmission channel for electricity from Tibet during the wet season.

Du Jinshui said that since the first “transmission of electricity from Tibet” was realized in 2015, by the end of 2021, Tibet has completed a total of more than 9.1 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity transmission, laying a solid foundation for promoting the transformation of resource advantages into economic advantages and accelerating the construction of a national clean energy continuation base.

Reliable power supply paves the way for rural happiness

Over the past decade, Tibet’s power grid has invested 31.5 billion yuan in total, and completed a series of projects benefiting the people, including the construction and transformation of electricity in Tibet’s electricity free areas, a new round of rural power grid transformation and upgrading, and the construction of power grids in “three districts and three prefectures” in deeply impoverished areas. From 40 counties (districts) in 2012, the main power grid will cover all 74 counties (districts) and major towns in the region by 2021. The reliability rate of power supply will increase by 0.25% to 99.48%, basically unblocking the “capillaries” of the power grid for the economic and social development of Tibet, and making the lives of farmers and herdsmen “bright”.

“We used to use electricity for a while at night and then stopped. We don’t have any household appliances at home. Now we have all kinds of appliances at home, which are available 24 hours a day. State Grid Tibet Electric Power has earnestly fulfilled the social responsibility of central enterprises. Since 2012, it has sent 41 village teams 1267 person times to 41 poor villages to provide assistance. It has invested 15.02 million yuan in assistance, greatly improved local infrastructure and public service conditions, and directly led 4383 people in 41 villages of 12 townships out of poverty. At the same time, we have done a solid job in “six stability”, fully implemented the “six guarantees” task, actively implemented the “three excellent and three low” recruitment preferential policy for college graduates, carried out “order+orientation” training, and actively built the “enrollment – training – employment” linkage mechanism. Since the “13th Five Year Plan”, 4647 college graduates have been recruited. More than 2000 jobs were provided through labor dispatch and business outsourcing, realizing “one person employment and the whole family out of poverty”. In the power grid construction, we created conditions to attract the participation of local farmers and herdsmen. Since 2012, nearly 1.5 million people have been employed by local farmers and herdsmen, which has led to an increase of 1.37 billion yuan in people’s income.
